Lead Pastors

Pastor Bobby and Linda Calvert moved from Indiana to Fort Myers in 1976, to bring to reality the vision God had given them for Sonshine Worship Center and Sonshine Christian Academy.
It is their desire to impact every life they come in contact with, to instill the life-changing message of Jesus Christ! Pastor Calvert has been preaching the Gospel for over 50 years and continues to pursue the vision and calling of God for Sonshine Ministries!

Our Team

  • Staff Pastor

    RJ Wynn came to Sonshine in 2024. He and his wife Tara, have six children and have been involved in ministry for many years. He has served as Lead Pastor in Alabama and as an Executive Pastor in Oklahoma. He is passionate about seeing discipleship and growth in the body and serving the church in any capacity.

  • Worship Pastor

    Lindsey Gallagher grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and has served in ministry since a teenager. In 2011, she married her husband, Sean and they have been blessed with six beautiful children. Lindsey has served as Worship Pastor since 2020 and leads our Revived Ladies Ministry as well.

  • Youth Pastor

    Sean Gallagher grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and has been serving in ministry here at Sonshine. He is excited to see our youth grow and to make an impact on them. We are looking to prepare this generation for their calling and instill in them the importance of their walk with Christ.

  • Business Manager

    Linda Simpson and her family moved here from Cincinnati in 2002. Her previous experience includes 16 years in telecommunications and 30 years in the legal field. She has been affiliated with our ministry since 2002 and began working as our Business Manager in 2016. She has been married since 1970 and is blessed with one son and daughter-in-law, two beautiful grandchildren and one adorable great grandchild.

  • Media Director

    Chris Smith was born in Port Charlotte Fl , and raised in Lehigh Acres Fl.

    Before joining Sonshine Worship Center, Chris was the media director for 10 years at his home church, New Life Assembly in Lehigh Acres Fl. Chris joined Sonshine Worship Center in the fall of 2010 as Director of Media.

  • SonKids Leaders

    Steve and Lisa have been the Children’s Leaders at Sonshine for over 10 years. Together they work to pour into the lives of children that come to Sonshine each week, teaching and leading them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ!

  • Board of Trustees

    Steve Speer Sr., Steve Speer II, Dwayne Stevens, David Upton, Sean Gallagher

    Members of the congregation who assist the Senior Pastor in overseeing the finances and direct the provision of the facilities and maintenance needed by the church and school.
