Bobby and Linda Calvert, moving from Indiana to Ft. Myers in 1976, both have served the Lord since their pre-teen years with a desire to be used of God. Shortly after being married in 1966, they began Preaching, Singing & Spreading the Gospel. Before coming to Florida, they evangelized full time, then returned to their home church to establish a Christian School. As a result of repeated visions and direct unction of the Spirit, they loaded up and came to implement what God had shown them. Thus, Sonshine Ministries was birthed. Pastor Calvert has served as Senior Pastor of Sonshine since it's inception in 1976. They are the happy parents of three wonderful children, Bob (Becky), Dave (Jamie) & Marti (Brian), which all have direct callings and gifts in the ministry and of course our 7 beautiful grandchildren Brian, Jack, Anne, Kodi, Sadi, Kyle and Brooklyn.
